The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood celebrated its fifteenth anniversary on Wed. April 26 with a private, invitation-only party that quickly became the talk of the town. Abbey owner David Cooley pulled out all the stops for the celebration with a red carpet entrance and decorations that included white draped lounge areas, enormous floral arrangements and live entertainment. Celebrities, city officials and other VIPs sipped on chilled Veuve Clicquot champagne and signature Finlandia martinis served by white-gloved waiters in tuxedo tails, and mingled with the likes of "Blue Lagoon" director Randal Kleiser, actor/model Rusty Joyner, reality-TV stars Tyler Robuck and Bobby Trendy, as well as director/ DJ Chi Chi LaRue and West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman.

Mayor Heilman and Mayor Pro Tem Sal Guarriello honored Cooley with a special plaque to commemorate the occasion. Following the presentation, Cooley pulled back the curtains to reveal a live orchestra, which performed to the delight of the crowd.

Later that evening, pop star (and frequent Abbey visitor) Christina Aguilera arrived with her husband and entourage of dancers. Watching the festivities from inside a private area of The Abbey, Aguilera and her husband and dancers enjoyed calamari, smoked salmon and lobster tails, as well as chilled Dom Perignon, Veuve Clicquot and Perrier-Jouet, staying well past midnight.
